Hanabi
Welcome to Hanabi, an exquisite jewel nestled in Fort Saskatchewan, Canada, where the essence of Japanese cuisine comes to life. Located at 10404 99 Ave, this restaurant has garnered a glowing reputation for its authentic sushi and warm hospitality. The owner, Jay, is known not only for his incredible culinary skills but also for the personal touch he brings to every dining experience.
Hanabi's menu is a delightful fusion of traditional and contemporary Japanese dishes, crafted to please both the palate and the eye. With items like Shrimp & Yam Tempura, served with a light dipping sauce, and the comforting Miso Soup, this place is perfect for both the casual diner and the sushi connoisseur. The Pork Katsu and Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl also showcase the restaurant's dedication to quality, with each bite bursting with authentic flavors.
As I ventured through the menu, the tuna sashimi stood out as a customer favorite—praised by construction worker Natasha Warner for its freshness and quality. Every bite of this delicate dish is a testament to Hanabi's commitment to sourcing the best ingredients, ensuring that each piece is a treat.
- Atmosphere: Diners frequently comment on Hanabi’s vibrant yet cozy ambiance, making it perfect for casual meals or special occasions.
- Service: The staff, often noted for their friendly demeanor, strive to provide timely service, even during busy hours.
- Highlights: Popular items include the lobster roll and the freshly prepared seaweed salad, both highlighted for their exquisite presentation and flavor.
Despite occasional reviews mentioning slower service during busy dining times—such as Valentine’s Day—the quality of the food remains unmatched. Guests are often willing to wait for those memorable meals that are well worth any delay. As Todd Lewchuk aptly pointed out, Hanabi also offers sushi-making classes, providing a fun, interactive way to engage with Japanese cuisine beyond just dining.
In conclusion, Hanabi is more than just a restaurant; it’s an experience wrapped in flavors, warmth, and community. The exceptional quality of the dishes, combined with a passionate owner and friendly staff, creates an inviting atmosphere that keeps customers coming back for more. The sushi here is awesome, great atmosphere too. We also tried their sushi making class and it was an absolute blast! Highly recommend both going there to eat and trying out the class for yourself! The picture is what we got to make and take home!
